Windsurfing: The Bluff, Hayle Wind Direction: S Wind Stength: 10-20 Surf / Sea State: 1ft Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Showers, sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered:
High tide at 11.12 today.
Got there and rigged 6.4m and went out on Mistral Flow (113L). Nice run out
just about powered up. Fell in as I turned and the wind had dropped. I
floundered for a while and without enough to waterstart decided to uphaul
and wobble back in!
Had to go and carry my big board down from the Bluff car park (oh my back
hurts) and bought down the 9.0 and 7.5m sails.
Just about to rig the 9.0m when it picked up again so I went for the 7.5m
Tushingham. I'd already derigged the Trixx but now wished I'd left it.
Anyway went out on the F2 Thommen and 7.5 and started blasting over towards
Carbis bay and back. Had some decent dry carve gybes but not too much speed
on the exit and very fast reaches! Another good session and more fantastic
scenery.
Nice 1ft waves on the inside and a little chop on the outside with a little
swell rolling in. Good fun.
Came in through the Estuary before the tide dropped too far. 4 stars as I
couldn't decide on what kit to use and spent a little too long rigging.
Nobody else out just the life guards paddling around in the surf and the
helicopters passing over every now and then. Can I move here?
